Under the shrewdies label, I provide a range of hosting options and services.
Here are some examples of the sites hosted by shrewdies.net. I also manage web businesses for clients, or for myself, including some free WordPress.com websites, as described at shrewdies.com.
As I explained on my hosting prices page, I provide technical help to allow you to host and manage your own site. For people who want to focus more on the purpose of their website, and less on technical issues, I can provide most of the technical services you need.
Free WordPress.com Sites
These are useful for learning about building websites, and for topics that support your main website which you want to keep separate.
See my WordPress.com websites page for more details, and examples.
Free Commercial Sites
I provide free sites, similar to WordPress.com, but without the non-commercial restrictions, and with more freedom about including scripts, iframes, and other WordPress.com restrictions.
See my Free Commercial Websites page for more details, and examples.
Managed Commercial Sites
I provide managed websites without restrictions. These allow you to support your current business activities, or start a new web business.
See my Managed Commercial Websites page for more details, and examples.
Sites can be purely commercial, with the emphasis on building profit, purely communal, with the emphasis on building membership, or a mixture of both. I encourage you to build separate sites for commerce and membership, linking the sites together to encourage traffic to the site you consider best meets your aims and objectives.
Please note that commercial sites can include non-profit businesses, community organizations, or other social enterprises that need to create revenue streams to help cover operating costs or to seek donations. Wherever you need to build traffic to help fulfill the objectives of your organization, I can provide a commercial or community site.
Sites listed on these pages include web business that I operate for myself and websites that I manage for clients.
