Contact Keith Taylor2021-10-02T00:00:00Zhttps://shrewdies.net/contact-keith-taylor/
Contact Keith Taylor at

I encourage collaboration with developing Keith Taylor's Internet Content. So I'm trying to develop a better social network to achieve that. However, my priority is currently to establish routines for supporting you via GitHub Issues.

Contact Keith Taylor via GitHub

GitHub is where I write these pages. So it's sensible to share your questions, experiences, and opinions alongside the source of my websites.

Please be aware that there is much more to GitHub than raising, discussing, and resolving issues. So don’t get distracted by all the other features. Just focus on commenting on existing Internet Content issues. That way you will learn quickly, as you contribute your own ideas. Once you are comfortable with discussing issues, you can easily raise your own.

Contact Keith Taylor via Social Networks

I'm changing platforms for social interaction. So I'm currently experimenting with various blockchain social applications. Because I want to move away from the commercial social platforms. Moving towards platforms where you own your own comments.

As I introduce blockchain social applications, I will link to discussions from relevant articles. In the meantime, you can contact me about Internet Content using:

Your Contact With Keith Taylor

You can see that contacting Keith Taylor is more than filling in a form. Because I want to read your stories and hopefully merge them with mine. That way, we evolve Keith Taylor's Internet Content to provide a more relevant service for everyone.

I hope you’ll contact me by commenting on a Keith Taylor Issue. Or start a new issue if your concerns are not already being discussed (spot the big green
New Issue
button on that issues page).

My final request is not strictly relevant to Internet Content. But it could help future discussions. Do you have experience of new blockchain social networks? Then please help me to decide between Steem, Hive, Minds, Ecency, Somee, Discussions.app, etc. Note that I’ve already discarded PublishOx as I find the constant popups make the site impossible to use for me. But I’d love to hear any positive views.

I’d particularly like to know your views on Telegram Groups and Channels services. Because that might be an alternative or companion to blockchain social networks.

Keith Taylor Privacy2021-10-05T00:00:00Zhttps://shrewdies.net/keith-taylor-privacy/
Keith Taylor Privacy Policy Status

This is a first draft of a privacy policy that can be adapted for all my websites. The purpose of this page is to explain common website privacy issues. Then to explain how each website satisfies privacy concerns. Therefore, I will:

Publish this in draft form.

Create a PROSPRA project for Privacy Policy creation.

Generate a working template and a corresponding policy for this website

Create a PROSPRA project for ongoing Privacy Policy maintenance.

For related information about how I plan to #BuildInPublic with PROSPRA browse PROSPRA Activities Arranger

Keith Taylor Privacy

My view of website privacy is that I will do all I can to ensure your privacy needs are met. So that means that you must be clear about your needs. And I must be clear about how I meet those needs.

I assume that anyone who is serious about website privacy is browsing using the Brave Browser. So I’ll use their features to explain how to ensure that Keith Taylor’s Internet Content meets your privacy standards.

What is Website Privacy?

First, there are general website privacy issues that every website needs to address. Then there are your individual views on these issues that set your Website Privacy Standards. So if you don’t have your Website Privacy Standards, then website privacy policies are meaningless. Therefore, I’ll address the 4 common website privacy concerns[1]:

Privacy Concerns (PCON): [...]
1. I am concerned that the information I submit to this website could be misused.
2. I am concerned that others can find private information about me from this website.
3. I am concerned about providing personal information to this website, because of what others might do with it.
4. I am concerned about providing personal information to this website, because it could be used in a way I did not foresee.

Unfortunately, most privacy policies try to address those concerns through jargon-ridden legalese. At best, this confuses visitors and at worst, it misleads them. So I attempt to explain exactly how I interpret these privacy issues. That way, you might discuss your concerns with your professional legal advisers. So that you can be certain that Keith Taylor is not tricking you into providing information outside your privacy standards.

Private Information Submission

Most importantly, I do not ask you to submit any information to Keith Taylor’s Internet Content. However, there is a gray area whereby some technical information might be submitted automatically by your browser. But you are in control of this. So you should consult your legal advisers for personal advice. Because what follows is my interpretation of this technical information. And though I am well-meaning, I have no legal or Internet technology qualifications.

Private Information Security

Private Information Access

Private Information Usage

Website Privacy Information Summary

Strictly speaking, Keith Taylor’s Internet Content does not accept any information from visitors. However, I use third party services that can provide me with statistics that help me manage the website. Though these statistics cannot identify any individual, you might not want to contribute your data. So here is a summary of how you can configure your browser to ensure Keith Taylor’s Internet Content meets your Website Privacy Standards.

Referring back to the 4 primary website privacy concerns above, I address these as follows:

Keith Taylor’s Internet Content does not store any information from visitors. But it does use third party services which you can turn off in your browser.

Because Keith Taylor’s Internet Content does not store information,

Keith Taylor Privacy Policy

My policy for Keith Taylor is to ensure your privacy needs are met in full.

Your Keith Taylor Privacy Concerns

You can see that my main concern is to ensure that I resolve all your privacy issues. So I hope my Keith Taylor Privacy Policy satisfies your privacy needs. But if not, you have to tell me what I need to change.

First, check if anyone else shares your concerns at Keith Taylor’s Internet Content Issues. Or start a new issue if your concerns are not already being discussed. Remember, you are responsible for defining your privacy needs and ensuring those needs are met.

Keith Taylor Terms and Conditions2021-10-06T00:00:00Zhttps://shrewdies.net/keith-taylor-terms-and-conditions/
Keith Taylor Terms and Conditions Status

This is a first draft of Terms and Conditions policy that can be adapted for all my websites. The purpose of this page is to explain common website concerns about limitations and disclaimers. Then to explain how Keith Taylor Terms and Conditions address these issues. Therefore, I will:

Publish this policy as work in progress.

Create a PROSPRA project for Terms and Conditions creation.

Generate a working template and republish this page.

Create a PROSPRA project for ongoing Terms and Conditions maintenance.

For related information about how I plan to #BuildInPublic with PROSPRA browse PROSPRA Activities Arranger

Introducing Terms and Conditions

I believe my terms and conditions must clarify that I am only expressing my opinions and sharing my experiences. So that means that you must seek professional guidance on how any information here affects you personally.

In keeping with the rest of these ‘Admin Pages’, I want you to be aware of general concerns about Website Terms and Conditions. Then I can explain how to ensure that Shrewdies.net meets your standards. So I’ll start with the general concerns dealt with in a 2020 case study[1].

Why are Website Disclaimers Important?

Downie explains that the primary concern is about website visitors relying on published information. Because that might lead to claims for compensation where acting on that information leads to losses.

Given the increasing number of websites that are relied upon by users this case is a serious cause for concern. [Anyone] responsible for a website that provides information that may be relied upon should check that it contains an appropriate and up-to-date disclaimer in relation to that information.

What else must Terms and Conditions address?

Downie continues by explaining related concerns:

Scope of licence to the user.

Restrictions on use of the website.

Use of user content.

Privacy policy.

Terms of sale.

Keith Taylor Terms and Conditions

Do not use information from Shrewdies.net to make decisions that affect you. Unless you get the agreement of an appropriate professional advisor.

If you share any information from Shrewdies.net, you must include:

Link(s) to the source page(s).

A notice that copyright is held by Keith Taylor.

A notice that any future copies must include those link(s) and copyright notice.

Note: These Terms and Conditions apply to all my Internet Content on any website. However some sites might have terms that pre-date this policy. But note that this page takes precedence. Unless the other site specifically explains how it is different. Including a specific reference to this page. I intend that other sites Terms and Conditions should be mostly about explaining how this policy applies to my other sites. Especially by using language and examples that relate directly to that sites content.

Shrewdies.net Intentions

My intentions for this site are:

WordPress Transmigration Intro2021-10-20T11:07:12Zhttps://shrewdies.net/wordpress-transmigration-intro/
Introducing WordPress Transmigration

Around 3 years ago, I wanted to move some websites from WordPress to static sites. Recently, I’ve started the actual transfer process. Along the way, I introduced ‘WordPress Transmigration’ as my term for this process. So, here’s a summary of (some of) the story so far…

What is Transmigration?

Firstly, why move away from WordPress? Mainly because it’s becoming too cumbersome for my needs. But that does not mean that I have discarded WordPress entirely. After all, WordPress is the most popular platform for websites. So I’ll use it where necessary. Just not on my mainstay - information websites with no great database requirement.

I explained that in my Introduction to After WordPress on Netlify. Now you can see that it has taken me 2 years to move forward to what I now call WordPress Transmigration.

Along the way, it has been difficult to find information that is truly focussed on practical ways to change from WordPress to static sites. Probably because there is no established name for the procedure.

Especially troublesome terms include ‘exporting’ and ‘migration’. Because I’ve found that searching for these terms give lots of articles. But most are concerned with moving from one WordPress installation to a new server. And even when I focus on ‘static site’ with ‘WordPress’ searches I rarely see results that explain the whole process.

So while I was trying to find better search terms, my thesaurus mentioned ‘transmigration’. Unfortunately, the term has some dodgy connotations. But the best definitions I found came when comparing migration and transmigration. Then it became clear that ‘migration’ relates to a temporary resettlement such as birds in winter. Whereas ‘transmigration’ is “Departure from one’s native land to settle in another”

As such, that infers a need for good planning, preparation, and performance. Followed by an adjustment period where adopting new customs and language are vital. So I intend to explain all those stages on PROSPRA and on Shrewdies, as appropriate.

Leading WordPress Transmigration Experts

During development of my WordPress Transmigration procedures I adopted the term gradually. However, I never checked if it was a term in common use. Probably because I realized that my way of evolving website content is different. But I’ll cover that elsewhere.

This morning, I decided to search for specific “WordPress Transmigration”. So I was not surprised to find only 8 results. But I was delighted to find my PROSPRA project at the top of the results.

I’ve reformatted the top 7 results to fit the screenshot below. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find an easy way to fit the 8th result. However, it is a rogue result from some spammy list that includes an accidental collision of ‘WordPress’ with ‘Transmigration’. So best ignored!

Of the 7 results shown:

I’m #1!

#2-4 seem related. So, I’ll be researching that Tumblr project and reporting back later.

#5-7 are GitHub results that I will investigate soon.

During my investigations, I’ll be looking for potential collaborations. But irrespective of that, I’ll develop my own WordPress Transmigration expertise. Then I’ll pass on my knowledge with explanations, templates, and plans.

WordPress Transmigration Summary

I may consider offering a paid WordPress Transmigration service. But my main focus is to document the procedures so that people can do it themselves.

Ideally, I can collaborate with other WordPress Transmigration experts. Then we can cover more use cases. Also, I’m unlikely to consider paid services without the support of a like-minded team.

Keith Taylor visitor responses and associated research include:

Netlify Examples

Netlify introduced me to the technique of hosting Jamstack websites. Then my eyes opened to the possibilities of fast, free hosting in the Cloud. AKA Serverless Hosting. But shortly after I discovered it, Cloudflare announced a similar service: Cloudflare Pages. So I created a few starter sites in Netlify while waiting to see if the Cloudflare offer would work for me.

As time allows, I’ll revisit my Netlify experiments to judge if any are worth continuing. Because diversity is good for me. Also, I see no reason why WordPress sites cannot be transmigrated to Netlify for any site owners who prefer it.

Authoring Comments2021-10-21T00:00:00Zhttps://shrewdies.net/authoring-comments/
Comments can make or break a webpage. So get it wrong, and risk offensive spam and boring repetition. Or get it right and gain better understanding for everyone.

There is an important point that website authors and publishers must grasp. Comments form a collaboration between readers and writers. So that collaboration must be managed.

Introducing Authoring Comments

I perform 3 different roles when I create Internet content - writer, publisher, and author. I’ll expand on these roles elsewhere. But for now, my simplified view is that I start by writing about my own questions, experiences, and opinions. Then my publisher role presents it to you. And my writer role gets on with the next great ideas.

As I take on the author role, I get feedback from many sources. As well as my own critical reviews. But my best feedback comes from readers who tell me what they think about my ideas.

When I realize something is missing from my article, I add comments. Note that these are separate from the article. Though I might make small adjustments in the article to reflect those comments. Eventually, it becomes time for a critical review. Then I usually absorb the comments into a republished revision of the article.

In this way, my Internet content grows and adapts to reflect changing knowledge. And also to reflect the changing needs of my readers.

Comments Create Content

Websites are a great way for me to share information that I have learned. But your perspective is different from mine. So I might have missed something important to you. Or I might have failed to explain how you apply my information to your circumstances. Sometimes, I make mistakes.

In all these situations, feedback from you helps me improve the contents of my pages. I can make better content. Such as:

Correcting spelling or grammar mistakes.

Adding extra explanations.

Structuring my pages better.

Reorganizing information across related pages.

Comments, Contact, & Collaboration

From your point of view, comments are the best way to make contact with me. That may be to ask a question, share an experience, or express an opinion. You might be wanting to learn more. Or to try and sell me something. Whatever the reason, your feedback on a page…

Shows me what you’re interested in.

Allows other like-minded people to join a discussion.

Lets us share learning experiences.

Introduces us, allowing us to agree on a private channel where appropriate.

So by contacting me with comments, we can start collaborating on better content. That brings benefits to both of us. But it also helps future readers with improved information.

Authoring Comments Summary

Comments are part of a collaboration system. Where the benefits are better understanding and knowledge for everyone. By giving feedback you get the extra information you want. Then that is also available for other people.

Authoring Your Comments

You’ve learned how I handle comments. More importantly, you have the foundation for your next step in the collaboration process - send me your feedback!

Remember, you can send feedback about any of my Internet Content. Maybe you have nothing to contribute to this page? Then search and follow links to collect more related information.

GoutPal.com Through The Years2021-11-24T11:07:12Zhttps://shrewdies.net/goutpalcom-through-the-years/
GoutPal.com Platforms 2005-2021

For this article, I’m using screenshots from the GoutPal Archive. Which is a great place to find information that has been deleted from the Internet. So I like to look back at early versions of my content to see how it changes through time. Espcially to see how fashions in website deployment platforms and Internet access devices influence page design.

As an aside, that reminds me to look for other early content that I’ve been involved with. But that’s for another day. So I’ll crack on with some GoutPal facts. For today, I’m looking at 4 significant changes for GoutPal.com. Then I’ll look at other GoutPal site changes as time allows.

GoutPal.com 2005

GoutPal.com 2005 Proprietary Dial-up Platform

I don’t want to get bogged down with the problems that surfaced from my first GoutPal platform. Except to say that they prompted me to enjoy several years of WordPress development. In fact, I’ve omitted my first platform switch. Because I’ll probably cover it when I look at transmigrating websites onto WordPress.

Anyway, my first archive snapshot shows the first 2 pages that started today’s huge GoutPal collection. I recall being a little too obsessed with rhyme. At the time. I doubt. That’ll wear out.

GoutPal.com 2011

GoutPal.com 2011 WordPress Technical Masterpiece

Though I describe this as a technical masterpiece, I’m sure you’ll agree that it is not the best design you’ve ever seen. In hindsight, that central navigation menu was a stroke of genius. At least as far as guiding visitors towards the best content. So I should have retained a restyled version in the next design. Or perhaps I should redevelop it as a static site component?

The navigation significance is best seen by browsing the GoutPal archive leading up to the next change. Because you can see how the excerpt is displayed prior to clicking a link. So visitors see what a page is about before they commit to it. But what you can’t see is that the presentation sequence is dynamic. So it allowed me to push the most attractive content to the top of the list.

GoutPal.com 2012

GoutPal.com 2012 Professional WordPress Design

At last, the big white G on GoutPal blue background. I can’t see myself changing that. But who knows what’s around the corner?

GoutPal.com 2021

GoutPal.com 2021 Static Smartphone Site

Finally, we reach the latest version of GoutPal.com. Now “Built In Public”. Primarily for smartphone users. With WordPress content included. Ready to be absorbed into it’s new static home.

GoutPal Progress Summary

I may consider offering a paid WordPress Transmigration service. But my main focus is to document the procedures so that people can do it themselves.

Ideally, I can collaborate with other WordPress Transmigration experts. Then we can cover more use cases. Also, I’m unlikely to consider paid services without the support of a like-minded team.

Keith's Learners Resources2022-04-26T11:07:12Zhttps://shrewdies.net/keiths-learners-resources/
Keith's Learners Resources Introduction

This is a 'heads up' regarding new tools I'm adding to my websites. Because I want to help you with better learning resources. But I'm short of time to prepare complete documentation. So if you need clarification about any aspect of these resources, please see the feedback links below.

Keith's Learners Resources

These resources help you make better notes about facts that you are learning. Then they help you expand and share your new knowledge. Ultimately, allowing you to collaborate with your advisers or friends on any learning or research project.

📒 ShrewdNotes Web Page Annotation

Use ShrewdNotes to personalize any of my web pages with your own private notes. For example, use ShrewdNotes to:

Highlight choices that apply to you.

Mark facts that you need to learn more about.

Add personal details. Because only you can see your ShrewdNotes. But you can share some of them if you wish.

We save your ShrewdNotes remotely in your own private account. So you can read them on any desktop, mobile, or tablet computer. Either within your account, or whenever you revisit the page that you annotated.

I’ve implemented ShrewdNotes as your note-taking foundation service that supports my other learners services. However, my chosen platform works independently on any website. And allows you to attach any document files (e.g., PDFs, spreadsheets). So you can combine all your research notes in one place.

This is a great tool to help you learn new facts. Also use it to record your progress through activities as you apply your new knowledge. But there’s more…

I use ShrewdNotes every day as I create and improve my websites. Starting with my research notes. Then creating drafts, and adding ideas for future improvements. So you can gain:

Early access to new content

Exclusive access to extra content

Templates for quickly starting plans and projects

Finally, ShrewdNotes gives us both a platform to collaborate on your ideas. So you can invite me to help you privately with any project you choose.

🤔 ShrewdConcerns Resolving Issues

Keeping your own private notes is a great way to organize your knowledge as you learn new facts. But what do you do when you get stuck?

You can use ShrewdConcerns to ask for help with anything. Though, we usually use it for you to clarify something you’ve read on one of my website pages. So ShrewdConcerns is a public place to ask questions and get answers. However, it’s also a springboard for collaborative learning as you:

Request private help to collaborate on your concerns.

Offer private help to other people.

☊☋ ShrewdMaps Notes Organization

Once you start with ShrewdNotes, you'll soon have lots of web pages with your own notes and attached documents. But these often interact. So how can you find all the pages that relate to a specific topic or concern?

The answer lies in ShrewdMaps, where you can organize all your notes however you like. Then easily reorganize them as you learn more about your chosen subject. And ShrewdMaps isn’t limited to organizing notes. Because you can also use it for:

Flexible To-Do Lists

Website Bookmarks

Brainstorming

Arrange almost anything by category, date, priority, etc.

Finally, as with ShrewdNotes, you can take your ShrewdMaps to the next level with shared projects and collaboration.

🗣 ShrewdChat Research and Learning Forums

All the first three resources work together to form a comprehensive support environment for any learning or research project. But sometimes you just want to chat with like-minded people.

That’s why I’ve run several support forums over the years. But I’ve found that direct support is better using ShrewdConcerns described above. However, we all benefit from off-topic chat. As well as sharing opinions and experiences for their own sake. So I’m replacing all my forums with Discussions hosted by GitHub.

Your Learning Resources

There are lots of ways that you can start to use Keith's Learners Resources for your own projects. But, as yet, I haven't provided documentation for you to get started. However, if you need help today, please get started with ShrewdConcerns now. Or see other options in the feedback section below.

Introducing Keith Taylor's Followers2022-08-26T11:08:12Zhttps://shrewdies.net/introducing-keith-taylors-followers/
All you really need to know is that the path to Shrewd Learning starts at Who are Keith Taylor Followers. But I guess you’d also like to know why you should start on that path.

What is Shrewd Learning?

Shrewd Learning is my collection of tools and processes that help you organize your online learning projects.

Many of us think we left learning behind when we quit school or college. But in reality, we keep learning every day. Though most of us do it informally. So, the need to organize research can be quite a shock when we start learning a complex subject. Or even relearning how to learn.

Now that shock is reduced considerably if we have modern tools to help organize research, review goals, and plan actions based on our new knowledge. Therefore, I’ve collected my tools to form Shrewd Learning. Packaged with support to help you personalize those tools.

Furthermore, I’m using 2 subjects to ensure that my resources provide practical solutions to common problems. Firstly, gout, where I’ve rebranded Shrewd Learning as GoutPal Links. Secondly, food, where my working title for my next project is Foodary Nexus.

In this way, you can learn one or all of the following:

About the tools and processes in Shrewd Learning.

How to improve your gout or your eating patterns.

How to adapt Shrewd Learning resources to any subject that interests you.

Learner Tiers

As a learner, you can work on your own. Or collaborate with me at different levels. But irrespective of which tier suits you best. Remember you start at Who are Keith Taylor Followers.

Anonymous Learner

At the lowest level, you might choose to be an anonymous learner. In which case, you can ignore my pleas to subscribe. Then keep reading my articles about webpage annotation and topic mapping.

So just return to that page every month and follow the articles relevant to you. But wouldn’t it be easier to get that list by email?

Keith Taylor Follower

Subscribing at that page gets you a list of relevant articles. Roughly once a month. Now, as I mentioned, I plan to introduce instant notification for those that want it. In fact, I hope to work with you to customize your notification services in the shrewdest way we can. So, please share your thoughts by commenting on my subscriber page.

Subscribers & Members

I will describe subscription and membership tiers in the next article in this series.

Annotate Webpages with 📒ShrewdNotes2022-09-30T11:10:12Zhttps://shrewdies.net/annotate-webpages-with-%F0%9F%93%92shrewdnotes/
This article tells you how I'm using Hypothes.is as a starting point for documentation about 📒ShrewdNotes Web Page Annotation. Because I'm learning how to organize efficient workflows with 📒ShrewdNotes. Then I can be certain that my documentation is accurate for when I get more people involved.

So these are practical notes that guide me. In order to become reference material for anonymous learners, followers, subscribers, and members. Also, these notes can become a framework for Hypothes.is-style 📒ShrewdNotes that I can adapt for Sciwheel and other annotation services.

Hypothes.is Groups and Tags

I use Hypothes.is Groups as follows:

Public Group for Anonymous Learners.

🗃ShrewdSubjects Groups.

My Private Group.

Public Group for Anonymous Learners

I make most of my Hypothes.is 📒ShrewdNotes in public. Mainly on my own websites. But increasingly whenever I find anything useful or interesting. Especially where I find good content relating to one of my 🗃ShrewdSubjects. So anyone can follow my Public 📒ShrewdNotes.

To recognize 🗃ShrewdSubjects, I use Hypothes.is Tags. Currently, these are Food, Gout, and Learning. Where Learning includes any topic not covered by the other subjects. In this way, as I recognize new subjects, I will separate them from Shrewd Learning.

Note that Public annotations for my subject tags include notes from all Hypothes.is users. So, tags are a great way to collect notes by everyone who is interested in a topic. Also, you can mix and match User, Group, and Tag searches. As well as using free-format search.

Additionally, I've started using Hypothes.is Tags to help me organize my workflows. Currently, I use 4, but I may extend this as I incorporate annotation into my daily life. My current 4 tags are:

New
– denotes new content that I'm preparing.

Change
– denotes changes I plan to make.

🗃ShrewdSubjects Groups

Though I like to BuildInPublic, I also like to collaborate. Now, collaboration is possible using public annotation. But I'm trying to create services built around teams. So I've created private groups for each 🗃ShrewdSubject.

Currently, joining these private Hypothes.is groups starts by subscribing to one or more newsletters:

Foodary Nexus Newsletter

GoutPal Links Newsletter

Shrewd Learning Newsletter

My Private Web Annotation Group

I try to do most of my content creation in public. Or in teams. So I only currently have one group for private notes. But Hypothes.is allows you to create as many private groups as you need. Which is useful where you want to keep notes separate. However, I recommend using tags unless you are sure you want separate groups of notes.

Having recently discovered the joys of Web3, I want to start moving some (or all) of my content onto the Hive blockchain. So I'll plan new projects for GoutPal and Foodary. While using my main Hive account to support (or replace) this blog.

Hive Rewards Week

Currently, Hive rewards for blog content are paid one week after publication. Based on the number, size, and value of upvotes. Then, authoring and curating rewards cease. Although, LeoFinance is looking to extend its advertising-based rewards to older content.

Pending that, I plan to use older content to attract traffic to my relevant Web2 content.

So-called SEO

Some useful on-page SEO properties are recognized throughout the general Hive community. However, lots of fundamentals regarding purpose, quality, and keyword management are missing.

So I will develop SEO-friendly workflows for my Web3 content. Which, for me, means adapting my Web2 workflows to include Web3 for:

7-day revenue generation

Promotion of my older Web2 content

Audience engagement with a view to long-term community growth.

Also, I'll explain why I refer to "So-called SEO"

Current Web3 Content.

Keith Taylor's Web3 Blog includes most of my Web3 content. But is most important to me for unveiling my interests. Because I reblog articles that interest me. Especially where I have commented on them.

Keith Taylor's Web3 Posts is an auto-generated list of all my Web3 posts. But it does not include Threads.

Keith Taylor's Web3 Threads is my Web3 alternative to my Keith Taylor's Twitter feed. Currently, I'm trying to push more short form content. Which is challenging after decades of focusing on long form content.

Keith Taylor Interests

Using my Web3 Blog and Threads feeds, I'll begin to categorize my interests here. Eventually generating separate index pages for my main interests.

Health

Besides GoutPal and Foodary, I'm interested in many aspects of health and wellbeing:

Hive Blockchain

I'm definitely in the phase of learning here. Though, I hope to be able to mentor other Web3 converts in the future. But first, I will wait for the new LeoFinance onboarding and adoption campaigns.

Proof Of Social Support2023-09-28T04:08:12Zhttps://shrewdies.net/proof-of-social-support/
This is something of a test post to prove that integrating Web3 social chat into a Web2 site can provide the potential for a new social support environment. Leading to a range of support styles. From corporate "giffgaff" style structured customer service. To free-flow "amateur" style ad-hoc user support.

So this is my Proof Of Social Support (POSS). A working example of Web3 Sting Chat integrated into a Web2 site. With endless thanks to mirafun, PeakD, and the Hive Blockchain.

Endless POSSibilities

My vision is:

A group of like-minded people who get the giffgaff concept and are excited about its potential on Web3

Pro packages that companies can buy, with a range of features

Self-served packages that people or organizations can customize for their own needs

A working example of each type of community that can develop and market new packages according to real-life experiences

So anyone could earn money from:

Supporting fellow fans of their favorite products/services

Add Social Support to their own website

Provide paid Social Support as an Agent, Moderator, or Manager

With the first two opportunities available now. And the paid opportunities available as the market is established.

I've completed the Proof Of Concept for my Web3 project. Proving that it is realistic to continue earning from Hive content after Hive Rewards Week. In fact, I've introduced the term, Hive Afterweek, to describe the earning period outside Hive Rewards. Which is essentially Web2 marketing monetization applied to Web3 content.

Moving Towards Web3

So, Shrewdies3, my Web3 version of Shrewd Learning, is not a pure Web3 project. Since it is still Web2 hosted, via Cloudflare Pages. And Web2 monetized, via Google AdSense. Though, I hope to diversify my monetization sources as soon as I attract worthwhile traffic.

But I'm definitely moving towards Web3. So I asked Canva for the image (above and below) with the prompt:
Excitedly moving from Web2 towards Web3 using the Hive blockchain
.

Working Towards Web3

After I wrote Working Towards Web3, I used my Web3 content links to promote my links to search engines. As it was impossible to submit them directly from any Hive frontend platform, But now, I can successfully submit as much content as I want. Either my own, or any other content that interests me. So, I'm almost ready to promote Shrewdies3. However, I need a week or three to finalize my publishing and promotion routines. Also, to iron out some small bugs in the interface.

Evergreen Hive Content

Once I identify potential evergreen Hive content, I annotate the page in preparation for promoting it on Shrewdies.com. This serves twin purposes:

Occasional referrals from Hypothes.is

Summary information where I can easily find it for my presentation

Moving Towards Web3

Moving Towards Web3 - Next Steps

Now, I've found evergreen content that I can monetize in the Hive Afterweek. So I'm refining my workflows to make this process as efficient as I can.

Part of my workflow is to report on new content that I'm promoting. But I'm not quite ready to do that on the Hive platform. So I'll use this blog to publish those update reports.

For now, you can follow my progress in Keith Taylor's ShrewdNotes. But when I produce my reports, I'll focus on specific subjects. Including Learning, Drawing, Earning, Cooking, etc.

This is one of my progress reports for new articles that I'm monetizing on Web3. Specifically, this report shows my progress in promoting Evergreen Hive content about learning.

Before I explain more about my Hive Learning articles, let me give credit to Canva for the image I've chosen to illustrate this article. Which is my choice from the 4 images generated by Canva from my prompt:
A group of learners eagerly anticipating the best new articles about learning from the Hive blockchain
.

Hive Learning Subject

Learning is the main topic that I selected to start promoting on Shrewdies3. Because it supports the Shrewd Learning ethos of learning about subjects that interest you. Then applying your new knowledge to earn income. However, Hive enables us to earn while we are learning. So I'll be exploring Learn2Earn in greater depth after I complete my launch of Shrewdies3. At which time, I'll clarify the differences between:

Hive Rewards from blockchain curation during the first 7 days from the publication of your learning post.

Shrewdies3 Rewards from monetization in the Hive Afterweek.

For my upcoming Shrewdies3 launch, I'm refining my workflows to ensure that I can cope with high volumes of new content. Part of which is this progress report covering:

Discoveries of meaningful Hive content about learning.

Notification of my promotion of that evergreen content for learning.

Including the addition of updates, comments, and links to other pages. Of course, if you write your own content on Hive, you can manage those refinements directly in your post. In which case, I can help you with some traffic analytics that drive those content refinements.

Which is my choice from the 4 images generated by Canva from my prompt:
A group of writers eagerly anticipating the best new articles about monetizing content on the Hive blockchain
.

Hive Blockchain Subject

Everything that I add to Shrewdies3 is from the Hive Blockchain. But these articles are about the Hive Blockchain. Including what it is, its history, and its future possibilities. Also, how to harness its benefits. While avoiding its drawbacks.

The list below is my summaries of Hive Blockchain articles that were originally written for rewards from the Hive Rewards Week. But they have interest beyond 7 days. Often being enjoyed by readers for many months and years. So I promote them for rewards in the Hive Afterweek.

New Hive Blockchain Content

As I find new Hive blockchain content, I add it to Keith Taylor's Hive Blockchain Discovery Channel. In fact, I tag all my Hive platform discoveries with the Hive Blockchain tag. Because they are all Hive blockchain-related. But to differentiate those that are mainly about the blockchain, I tag them with the
Web3
tag. So here are my latest discoveries…

Hive Blockchain Promotion & Monetization

I generate the list above as I identify articles that have proven to be of continuing interest. At which time, those notes become the first step in promoting evergreen Hive Blockchain content to Hypothesis users.

Next, I incorporate some of those notes into the Hive Blockchain content pages on Shrewdies3. Pushing further promotion through search engines. Which, in turn, improves monetization from increased website traffic. So I mark this progress by adding a link to the Shrewdies3 page.

Hive Blockchain: Next Steps

I've explained how I begin my promotion process as a basis for monetizing Hive Blockchain content. Next, I monitor uptake by search engines. Then refine my presentation accordingly. Including the addition of updates, comments, and links to related pages.

Of course, if you write your own content on Hive, you can manage those refinements directly in your own posts. In which case, I can help you with some traffic analytics that drive those content refinements.

Have you identified evergreen Hive Blockchain content?

Then work with me to promote and monetize it. So that you can benefit from long-term rewards in the Hive Afterweek.
